Review of Krugermann Pickles

https://kruegermann.com/

I grew up in the UK, Richmond to be specific, but my mother is a New Zealander, so I split my time growing up between both sides of the world.

Luckily for me there was one common denominator -  pickles.

I Love pickles and try to incorporate them into many/every meal I eat! But I have never been satisfied with US pickles, either too sweet or too sour for my taste.

I’ve been roaming alone in the pickle(less) wilderness for years. Until one day I was hiking around my neighborhood and remembered I needed some ant killer. Because ants, rude! How dare they? There’s no food in my bathroom – get out of here.

Anyway, I go to the local hardware store, because I hate Home Depot (don’t kill me corporate overloads, I shop at your big box stores all the time for work, I swear!) Shout out to the local hardware store Baller Hardware Co, Silver Lake CA.

I perform my due diligence of adulting and get to the check-out counter and see this amazing display of pickles! Like the old-school hardware stores that used to have a barrel of pickles, these guys were keeping the tradition alive by stocking a local pickle out fit! Krugermann’s a German family that escaped Communist Germany in the 1960’s and set up shop here in Silver Lake with a small family pickle business.

So in the spirit of community I bought some, ate them covertly while walking home, had a mouth orgasm and realizes I had finally come home.

To this day these are my go to pickles that make my life better. They remind me of both my UK and NZ childhoods and brings me closer to feeling happy and feeling … good as a human being. If one pickle can do that for me, then I can only imagine what they could do for you. Try them today! This message is not sponsored. Buy them now or I’ll be shot.
